I've been a fan of HBO shows for a long time now. I was (and, in most cases, still am) completely hooked on HBO shows like The Sopranos, The Wire, Band of Brothers dvd, Six Feet Under dvd and John Adams. Living in the Netherlands I can only wish for Dutch shows to be this great.
After the huge gap that The Sopranos dvd and The Wire dvd left behind, HBO is back on track with True Blood Season 4 DVD Box set. A few questionable acting qualities aside (all of Sookie's co-workers at the diner seem to be a bit stereotypical and over-the-top), the viewer gets 'sucked' (pun intended) in a world where vampires live among humans.
The story lines of Sookie and Bill have me tuning in week after week. Watching their relationship, seeing Jason, Sookies Brother, being put through situations that make you giggle is all a part of the charm that True Blood has.
My advice to anyone who is wondering about True Blood dvd is give it chance. I am the first to admit that I was not sure about this programme. I had severe doubts and with only being seventeen some of the scenes are a bit more revealing than the programmes I am used to, but after the first episode I can guarantee that you will be hooked and the chances are you'll be as hooked as me and any other True Blood fans.
